Appointment

Instructions

To make an appointment with one of our doctors we first need to cite the referral from your GP or specialist. Once the referral has been assessed by the doctor we will phone you to discuss appointment availability according to clinical need and availability.

The more information provided by your GP the easier it is to prioritise your appointment.

We do offer a cancellation list if we are unable to fit you in as soon as you would like.

An up-to-date referral is required for every appointment in order for you to attain your Medicare rebate. A standard referral from a GP lasts for 12 months and a referral from a specialist lasts for three months.

This is a private practice and payment in full is required on the day, with a current referral we can process your payments directly to Medicare and a substantial proportion of the fee will return to your account within 24 hours.

Please contact our staff for more information on current fee structure however a letter with all this information will be emailed to you prior to your appointment.

Please allow at least 45 minutes for your first appointment.

We all aim to run on time but sometimes we need to give people more than than is allocated we can get behind, so we ask for your patience and recommend allowing some extra time.

We have a strong preference for face-to-face consultations as we believe that this provides the best medical assessment. Under exceptional circumstances phone consultations may be arranged but rarely for a first visit.

Unfortunately the Medicare rebate is very limited for such a consultation so the out of pocket expense will be higher.

The value of your consultation will be greatly improved by making sure that results of all recent blood tests and medical imaging are available to the doctor at the time or before your consultation.

All the doctors have a long waiting list and so it is disappointing if an appointment is missed or cancelled at very short notice and can not be filled. A fee will apply.
